Balloon Day (Haroon Elahi)
I made a balloon-popping game where the user tries to pop the balloons while avoiding these objects which are razor/saw-like objects that are randomly going around. The player also has to make sure that as the balloons are growing, they don’t grow too much and pop themselves before the player can hit the balloon himself with a bullet/pin to pop it. The player has to avoid collision with the saws while also completing the goal of popping the balloons in order to get points and make a decent score. The player has 3 lives, and if a balloon pops on its own by growing too much the player loses a life. If the player loses all of his lives the game will end. Also, if the player collides with one of the saws, then the game ends. One thing I am proud of in making this game is figuring out the animations. I think animations were confusing for me but I was able to figure it out and I animated the center of the saw to make it spin. I also added an animation when a balloon pops, there are sparks that fly in different directions when the balloon pops. I think the UI of my game is also nice, it is easy to use and it looks perfectly suited for a balloon-popping game.
